As promised here is the post on the Folsom Zoo. We visited on May 29th and lucked out as it was Family Fun Day and everyone got to get in for free. It was a huge savings, since the park was normally around $3. :) Gotta love it, every penny counts!
Here are is a picture of me with my babies in front of the zoo sign.
The zoo was small but, very impressive. They had two tigers,
three bears,
...oh wait, these aren't real bears- Evan looked so furious in this picture, I got confused, :)
lots of free roaming peacocks (this one was out in the parking lot),
lamas, wolves, deer, several types of birds, feral cats, donkeys, monkeys, and coyotes. I think that covers most of the animals in this zoo. We were super impressed. The really neat thing is that all of them were rescued animals who were unable to live in the wild now.
One of Evan's favorite parts of the zoo was this shaded area where he could run around. It truly is the simplest things that make children happy.
I leave you with a recommendation, if you haven't been to the Folsom Zoo you should go real soon. Such a fun event for you and the little ones- and very affordable. :)
