Apple Hill Adventure

We had so much fun this past Thursday, October 27 going to Apple Hill with our friends the Wisners and the Rhodes.  Above pictured at High Hill Ranch are Tyler, Hannah, Andrew and Evan.

We went in the afternoon so the crowds were not to bad and the kids were all ready and geared up for some fun.  Here they are pictured at our first stop Apple Ridge Ranch with the Farm Animals.
Here is little Jayne with one of the goats.
Evan super excited below to be pictured on this huge tractor.
Brother, sister fun...look at these two little munchkins.  So silly!
This was a special Haunted Nature Trail we all walked.  Basically a small path through some tress with Halloween Decorations, very appropriate for the little ones.  This attraction was at Grandpa's Cellars.

Evie wanted to be in the picture too. :)
Look at those scary poses Tyler and Andrew have...spooky!
We ended our afternoon of fun at High Hill Ranch.  Here we are at the water hole.  The kids were making us all a little nervous.  We didn't want anyone falling in.

At the water, the children made a friend with another little boy who caught a fish.  They thought this was pretty neat!
Then they all attempted to roll down the hill.  This was awesome.  The best was Evie wasn't too sure how to roll. She sure worked hard to make it happen though. :)
Some attempts to get all the kids together in one picture with the pumpkins...

Last I leave you with a picture of me and the kiddos at the end of our adventure.  We had to work hard to get all of us looking at the camera, as Evan wanted to continue playing with his buds, but we got a winner! :)  Sure was a wonderful afternoon.  Can't wait to go back again real soon!
On the ride home the kids couldn't wait to eat their apples and Mommy couldn't wait to eat her Apple Fritter with Daddy later on that night.  So yummy!

First Dentist Visit

Evan had his first trip to the dentist on Wednesday, October 25.  He did awesome!  He was nervous, but getting a toy out of the prize box at the end helped give him some encouragement.  Here he is with Ms. Lisa after his appointment.  She was so good with him and explained what they did at the dental office and shy she wore a mask, gloves, etc.  Evan wanted to sit with mama for most of the experience, but he actually became very brave when Dr. Chan our main dentist came to say hello and asked  if he could count Evan's teeth.  Evan sat all by himself in the examine chair and opened real big.  Of course, Dr. Chan, was the one who promised Evan a toy. :)

Here is just another picture of Evan and Ms. Lisa.  She is showing him the teeth cleaner in this picture and how it moves to clean his teeth.  He almost was brave enough to get his teeth cleaned, mommy even laid down in the exam chair with him and he was told he would get another toy from the prize box from Dr. Chan, but nerves got the best of him and we decided to all try it again in 6 months. :)
Evie had a fun time too, and also enjoyed testing out the examine chair and taking if for the up and down ride. She also got a toy from the prize box.  Both kids picked out bubbles and Evan also got a special goodie bag with a new toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste.  Evie got to take home some gloves and a mask. :)

Halloween Party Fun

Amazing friend and Head MOPS Mentor Mom, Lois, along with her family and friends hosted the most incredible Halloween Party, on Sunday, October 23, for our MOPS Leadership Team and their families.  Below are some of the pictures I got from the event.

Here is a picture with the hostess with mostess and her little mini-me at the party, fellow Lady Bug, Julia.
Here is my little love bug Evie Joy, with her girlfriends Ariel and Kaia posing pretty in their adorable costumes. :)
This was some of the delicious and creatively put together Halloween Finger Food at the event.

The party had all sorts of Activity Booths.  Here is Evan taking his try at Let's Go Fishing.
Evie doing a Mummy Noodle craft with Miss. Kelly.
The kids both at the frost your own Sugar Cookie Station.  This was one of their favorites!
Yummy!  Amazingly Evie got no frosting on her costume. :)
Evie doing another craft with Miss. Linda, Putting a Face on the Pumpkins.  Evie is our little crafter, just like Mommy.  Evan was having too much fun running around with his buds.
Some of the kid's with Lois' son, Travis, at the Lucky Ducky Station.
There also was a Play-dough Table.
A group wheelbarrow race helped to bring the party to a close.  The kids had to race to the other side collect a beanie baby and put it on the towel pictured on the ground.
All the kids loved it; look how excited Evan is in this picture.  He couldn't wait for his turn.
However, the Party finale was a Pinata!  Both Evie and Evan had fun trying to break it open.

And at the end of the party- a family picture.  Can you tell the kids are a little tired?!?!  But they sure had an amazing time...we all did! Thank you Meyer Family and friends!!!  What a fabulous way to celebrate the season.  Lots of love!

Build a Bear Workshop

We all got to have our first Build a Bear Experience during the weekend of our friend Amanda and Erik's wedding.  This was the perfect, activity for all of us to enjoy during our quick weekend trip.

Here are the kids after picking their new friends working to get their stuffing inside.  Evan picked out a Dinosaur friend, Triceratops and Evie with the help of Mommy and Daddy picked out a white bear. :)

Here we are getting the kid's new babies birth certificates.  Evan named his new friend Tri and Evie choose MinnieBear.

Mommy dressing MinneBear.  Evie thought she would try on one of the shirts too. :)
Evan decided Tri didn't need any clothes.  This was a very affordable choice.

Here is one final silly picture of the kids with their new friends, MinnieBear and Tri.  Welcome to the family!

Amanda and Erik's Wedding

We got to take part in a very special event on Saturday, October 15 our dear friend, Amanda's wedding.  It was so beautiful and she couldn't be happier.  It was a great day, perfect weather in Irvine, amazing friends, and delicious food- TK Burger.
Our amazing Life Group Family in Southern California from left to right, Sarah, Marilyn, Melissa, Joshua, Rachel, Dan, the happy couple- Amanda and Erik, Catherine (Catherine's husband Dan took the pic), our family, and Lily.
This picture above includes Susan in the middle too.
Here is little Evie at the reception trying to keep her self busy, by going through Mommy's bag (one of her favorite past times.)
The kids did amazing at the wedding too, except for the minor gold fish spill during the ceremony. :)  Good thing we were seated in the back.

We wish the newlyweds all the best for a Christ filled life together!  Congratulations Amanda and Erik!  We love you!

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm

It is that time of year again for pumpkins and Bishop's Pumpkin Farm.  Our family has already made two visits.  The first was on Monday, October 10.  It wasn't what you would call an ideal day to go to a pumpkin farm, it was pouring rain.  However, we had made the decision to go this day because Jim had the day off work and we thought we would beat some of the crowds.  This we did, but the forecast wasn't supposed to be pouring rain, just light showers more in the afternoon.  Well, they were wrong and at this point, we had already told the kids so off we went. :)
We still had fun and the kids actually loved it, especially Evan.  The picture above we are riding the train with three other brave souls that ventured out that day.  As we boarded the train they kindly dried off our seat and then even offered to take this picture. :)

Wet pumpkins
We made good use out of Evan's fireman rain jacket that day, but didn't think to bring his rain boots.  Evie had her pink boots on though, she was stylin. :)
A final picture from that day with some mini pumpkins we purchased, we didn't feel like trying to tackle a big pumpkin with all the rain that day. :)
Our second trip to Bishop's was on Monday, October 17 for our little friend Josette's first birthday part.  This day was completely different- hot and sunny! :)  Jim unfortunately couldn't make it this time, but me and the kids had a great time.
Here are the kids in their shorts posing in front of the How Tall this Fall? sign.
This trip they also got to feed and pet the animals.  They loved this experience.
Evie had a little boyfriend from the birthday party, that just thought she was so fun.  Here he is helping her pet the goat. :)
Here is Evie posing in the two pics below.
Evan had to pretend to drive this car in the picture below with Evie at his side.
This party also included lots of fun jumping in the hay.  Here is a cute picture of the kids together.
Here they are below in action.
We also got to have our tractor ride on this trip too.
And of course no pumpkin farm trip is complete without some pictures of the kids with pumpkins.

Happy Pumpkin Season to all!  Love, The Knight Family
