This is what we have been up to lately...

Ripping out our front yard (with the help of of Jim's co-workers son and his friend) .

Before
And After...
The kids are loving all the dirt!
Rotatilling and working with a Landscape Designer to figure out the new look.

And also we got a bunch of new lumber for patio structure that we will be constructing in the backyard.
Lots of work ahead...but we are so excited and look forward to enjoying the finished projects. :)

Mater Teeth

Evan got a special treat the other day, a Mater Teeth lolly pop.  Here he is checking himself out in the mirror
 Pretty stylin'...
...and yummy too.  What did he have to watch will enjoying this treat, well "Mater Tall Tales" of course.  Good times! :)  I sure do love this handsome little boy.

What's in here?

Evie's favorite past time these days is emptying things out.  Here mind is so curious.  I got a picture of her yesterday emptying the diaper bag yet again.  It is hard to get to frustrated with her though, she is just so darn cute. :)

Evie's Boots

Evie is all about her pink boots these days.  We got them from a friend as a hand me down before Evie was even born.  You may remember a post about Evan wearing them when he was about Evie's age too. :) She loves them and insists on wearing them with everything.  We don't mind too much since she looks so stinking cute in them!

Here she is with her buddy Blake after MOPS last Friday wearing the boots too.  :)
We sure do love this girl! :)

Another National Geographic Moment

On June 30th I happened to glance out the window in the afternoon and noticed some white, cotton looking stuff flying around in the air around the play structure.  Then I took a closer look and realized it was falcon who had caught another smaller bird.  The stuff flying around in the air were feathers.  I just couldn't believe it and grabbed for my camera.  The picture above is what I captured on film, but I wasn't able to zoom in close enough so then I grabbed our video camera.  Just another eventful afternoon at the Knight Residence. :)

Folsom Valley Railway

Last weekend our family visited the Folsom Valley Railway.  This is a small steam engine train that costs $2 to ride.  It was awesome and Evan loved it.  Here he is checking out the caboose.  Funny story he decided to go in there and then he shut the door.  Well then we couldn't get the door open and it was totally hot and this caboose had no windows.  Luckily before any complete disasters happened Jim did get the door open, but man we had a little freak out moment in our minds. :)  Praise God he was safe.

Here we are all pictured on the train right before the ride.
Choo...choo!
It was a real fun time!  I look forward to future visits.
