Evie Joy Knight!

Evie (Hebrew), and its meaning is life. Origin of the name Evie:
Derived from the Hebrew Chava (life), which is from hawwah (life). The name is borne in the Bible by the first woman, "the mother of all the living."
Joy (English, Old French, and Latin origin) it means happiness and joy. Used in the Middle Ages, and made popular in the 17th century under the influence of the Puritans, to whom being "joyful in the Lord" was an important duty. In modern times, it generally signifies the parents' joy in their new-born child, or with the intention of wishing him/her a happy life.
She entered the world on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 12:41 p.m. at 6 lbs. 8 oz. and 19 inches long. Dad, Mom, and Big Brother are all doing great and loving having Evie join our family. We all feel truly blessed and praise the Lord for our newest little miracle!

Glowing Mommy, smiling with delight at her blessing from above...

and Proud Papa loving his little angel more than he could ever imagine. :)

Here is our first family photo; we were unable to get one in the hospital because they had a policy that no kids under the age of 14 could visit due to the H1N1 flu virus. So this was right after we came home from the hospital. Evan had just woken up from his nap and came downstairs and got to meet Evie. He initially was very excited, but she started crying and then so did he. He tried to hold his composure for a few minutes so we could get this picture. :)

Our beautiful daughter on her first day at home.

Let the sibling love begin...here is Big Brother with his Little Sis! :)

Thank you for all of your love, prayers, and support during this exciting time. More details and pictures to come real soon from The Knight Fab 4! :)
