First Doctor's Visit

Our first big outing with Evie was to the doctor for her two day check up on January 12. We didn't see her regular doctor, but another Kaiser doctor, Dr. Hooten. She was really great. We will see her normal doctor at the two week check up.

Dr. Hooten was very happy with Evie's weight she went down to 6 lbs. 3 oz., which she thought was a normal decrease and was happy with her feeding. Evie also had a higher bilirubin rate at birth and we had to do another test on Tuesday before our appointment. The results came back still slightly high, but they thought she was in the clear. She just asked us to monitor her coloring. We haven't noticed any changes so I think she is good. Overall, Dr. Hooten thought Evie looked great and was pleased with how well she was doing. We go to the doctor again on Monday, January 25 so we will get another update then.

However, she was not to happy to have to get in her car seat to get there. :) The good news is that she stopped crying once we left the office.
