Every year we try to make sure the kids have a couple chances to wear their costumes so we can get some good use out of them. This year we were invited to Downtown Roseville's Family Fun Night on Tuesday, October 29 by good friends the Ishams which allowed the kids to get all decked out in their costumes a couple days before Halloween. They loved it and so did Mom and Dad!
Here is Princess Evie, a.k.a. Princess Sophia.
Then there was the super awesome Green Ninja, a.k.a. Evan ready for action!
Elaine was not wanting to pose by herself or with Evan and Evie so we got pictures like this...
and this...

However, we sat her on the couch and she didn't smile, but she looked at the camera for me. It worked! :)
Then it was time to head to the event. When we arrived we were able to see a nice dance show.
The kids thought this was cool.
Then we headed over to some of the booths at the event. This one had a pumpkin coloring contest.
Here are the final products.
Then after the coloring we meet up with our buds, The Ishams. Pictured below are Dragon Warrior, Eli, and young Dragon, Leo.
After our group pic it was off to trick or treat at the local businesses. The kids loved this!
A quick smile and wave for the camera and they were off again for more goodies!
Here they are comparing lolly pops with each other.
A funny memory was when Evan told me that Evie was taking two pieces of candy from all the open bowls where people let you pick what you wanted. He wanted to make sure you knew you were only politely supposed to take one. She confessed she was unaware of this rule. :) Pretty cute!
Elaine was able to get in on the fun too and got this plastic rat.
Mom in action too!
The 3 big kiddos!
Me and my little babes!!! Love these munchkins.

Here is Paula with her awesome duo!
After all the trick or treating fun we got in a few fun pictures. I should mention that the kids got to bounce in a bounce house too, but there were no good pictures that turned out from this activity.
Ninja Master on the Fountain.
Yummy candy!!!
I love this one! Elaine loves her big brother so much and always has so much fun with him. He has a blast with her too!
Jim was able to join us after work. Paula snapped us a nice family picture.

Lastly, we took part in the event's Costume Contest. The kids were so excited to be a part of this, however, they started it with the adults and ended with the kiddos, which made for a long evening. Nonetheless, the kids had a great time and enjoyed being on stage. Evan was pretty shy, but it helped build up his confidence, and he actually was really glad he did it in the end. All the participants got a goody bag for doing it too. Evan did admit he was hoping he would win, but ultimately, was okay that he didn't. However, he was trying to figure out a costume to try to compete in for next year to take home the prize. :)
Here are Evie and Eli in their category, 3-4 year olds. Evan competed in the 5-6 year old age group.
Evie being presented.
Overall, it was a great time hanging out with family and friends! Thanks Roseville for a wonderful night of Family Fun!
