We had a date night on Friday, June 22. We got to go out to the Sacramento River Cats game vs. Fresno Grizzlies. We had awesome seats (awhile back we had bought some tickets to support a local neighborhood kid's sports program). We were in the Gold Rush area, section 120, row 6 (near third base), seats 16-19 on the aisle. The weather was perfect too, actually got a little cold (so crazy). We had the best time and took our friends, Travis and Bethany. This date was also made possible by my wonderful parents who watched the kids for the night! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The nice thing about our date and the particular game we attended was that it was dollar hot dog and dessert night. Not the healthiest of meals, but we all lived it up! :) Also a helpful tip: avoid the ballgame popcorn looks pretty, smells yummy, but mainly just super salty. Bethany also had a salted pretzel that was way too salted as well. We all figured we had our sodium content for the night and then some. Me and baby also enjoyed some delicious Red Vines, so addicting and I love them!
In conclusion the River Cats won, except we didn't stay to see it. The game went into overtime and finally ended up concluding around 11:00 p.m. with a home-run win from the River Cats defeating the Grizzles 2-1. We headed back about 10ish when it started to go into overtime to help relive our sitters.
