Co-ed Baby Shower

On July 12 our wonderful friends from LifeGroup threw us a co-ed shower. The power team included the beautiful women below from left to right Sarah, Kimberly (made the cake), Lily, and Amanda.

This is a picture of the whole gang in attendance, from the top row featuring me and Jim and then going left to right are Amanda, Lily, Shaun, Christie. Moving down to the next row you have Sarah, Dan, Melissa, Matt, Amy, Ben, Kahanah, Phillip and Jenae. The bottom row features Rachel, Kimberly and Corey.

The party was phenomenal and included scrumptious food and action packed activities. From left to right Matt, Amy and Jim enjoy some of the delicacies.

After everyone filled their bellies the games began. The first had the group guessing how big I was around the belly. Here, Christie is measuring her piece with the true measurement of my width that Sarah is holding.

While Christie was close along with others, the official winners were Ben and Melissa who tied. Way to go guys! :)

After this game we played a volunteer based activity where four pairs had to compete in who could drink the baby bottle the fastest. Amanda even got some great video footage of the game. While a great effort was made by all of the guys the winner was Corey, assisted by Kimberly! You guys rock! :)

Then we played hot potato with the adorable baby spud featured below that Sarah and Rachel are proudly showing off. Amanda got him all dressed up in this little outfit.

You can see the action below in this picture with some of the remaining players. It was a tough competition but Shaun prevailed as the winner.

Then the last game of the day was how to practice reading to your child. However, the trick was you had to read in a special accent or voice, and to make it more challenging we had to read from the Dr. Seus Book, Oh Say Can You Say.

Matt did a great job on this game and won the grand prize. He is a man of many talents. Awesome job Matt!

Then Jim and I opened up gifts for our little one. This is one of the adorable outfits we got below. Thank you Kimberly and Corey for this cute little number. Notice the airplane. So fun! :)

Then it was cake time. Kimberly crafted this yummy ice cream cookie cake with adorable baby candles. It was the best.

The day was soooooo enjoyable. Jim and I felt loved and blessed by everyone. One of the best parts of the event was being lifted up in prayer. Thank you again to all of our amazing friends! We love you!
