Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison Visit

We had a fabulous visit with Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison this past weekend. The weather wasn't totally cooperating as it was pretty much cold and wet during their visit, but we made the most of our time together and had a lot of fun.

On Saturday we went to Old Sacramento, where we got to look at choo-choos (as Evan would say). :) Evan was loving it and couldn't get enough. Here is a picture of Evan and Jim in front of one of the trains.

We decided to visit the Railroad Museum too, since it was so cold outside. It was a nice place to look around without being in the wind. Evan went there last summer, but this trip was different because he really got excited about all the big trains being so close to him and loved exploring the museum. Here we all are at the museum. There is a train behind us, really!?!

This is the gang checking out some of the exhibits.

Here is a cute pic of Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison in the dinning train waving at me and Evie.

After our fun day in Old Sacramento, we came back home and Evan took his nap (which was very short that day). He then got the fun surprise of opening up some gifts from Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison. Evan loves opening presents. He was too interested in getting that package open than to smile for the camera below.

After the gift opening Evan and Aunt Alison decided to put the package boxes on their heads as hats. Evan loved this game. :)

On Sunday we went to the mall since it was raining and the kids both had a melt down; thus no real great pictures to share from this event.

Lastly, here are some fun random pictures of the kids with Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison.

I love Evan's face below. So silly!

This picture is a classic too...Evan looking at Aunt Alison to see what she is doing. Love it!

We love you Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison can't wait to see you again real soon!

Embrace the hair

I was tired of trying to keep the back of Evan's hair from sticking up and decided to embrace the flip and create a new look one day. I think it turned out pretty good. Evan liked it too!

This is to give you a nice profile view.

Am I cool or what?!?!?

You're looking super rad Evan! Keep it up little man. We love you!

Follow up to Forever Footprints and More

I wanted to post a picture of the final product of Evie's hand and footprints from our visit to Forever Footprints and More in February. Ta-da! Theresa did a great job. Would totally recommend her if you are interested in doing something like this to persevere your memories.

One of God's greatest gifts to our family...

is this little bundle of Evie Joy! :)

Here is a picture of her swinging away, and smiling in the swing this morning.

Three Months Old

Evie is three months old today and we continue to be blessed by her in countless ways. She is also more beautiful than ever. Some of her new accomplishments include:

-Her gorgeous smile is there for us to see everyday
-She loves to talk to us too. We get to hear the sweetest little coos.
-She really is enjoying her big brother and gets the biggest kick out of him. Evan likes her a whole lot too. His favorite thing is to point out her noise, hug her, kiss her, and tickle her. He even tries to calm her down if she is crying by patting her and rocking her carseat. It is the cutest thing.
-Evie is very strong and likes to work on strengthening her muscles daily. She kicks her feet and waves her arms in the air with passion! :)
-During the day she is a pretty awesome sleeper and Mommy is able to get chores done, emails, blog posts, etc. on most days. Evening time seems to be her fussy period. The time when she tells us hold me or else!
-She was doing really great with sleep at night, however, she got sick with RSV and hasn't been able to breath as clearly and has a little cough. This has kept her sleeping very erratically and not as peaceful. Hopefully when this is over she will be back to sleeping more through the night. Now she gets up about three times. Thank goodness for nursing in bed.
-Her sleeping is very good for the most part. But, the sickness did effect this for awhile too.
-Overall, she is the best three month old and we just love her to pieces.
-My current favorite thing about her is the twinkle that she gets in her eyes when she smiles. It is truly such a taste of heaven. God is so good and has provided us with the most amazing gift.

Here are some recent pictures of the many faces of Evie for your viewing enjoyment. You can tell one of my other favorite things about my daughter is that I get to dress her up in the most adorable items. :)

Thank you Lord for our little Evie!

Babies and Bumps Event

On Saturday, March 28, Evie and I got to be in a fashion show at the Babies and Bumps Event at Folsom High School. It was so much fun. Several vendors from all over the area came out to show their products. We got a ton of fabulous free goodies. I so love free things! :) Our friend Katie owns a wonderful store in the Fountains Shopping Center in Roseville called Bellybou. Evie was one of the lucky models in the show. Her store features maternity and kids clothing. As well as baby gear. For example, I got to show off one of the nursing covers in the show.

Does my little girl look adorable in her outfit, or what!?!

Here we are in in action during the show. Fun fact, Evie slept right through the experience.

Another very cool thing to share about the event was I won an awesome raffle prize. It was the infant girl basket prize. All I can say about it was amazing! I took a picture of the basket and prizes below. I felt so blessed by all the goods included (over $200 worth of goodies)!

If you are in the area next sure I highly suggest you come to the Babies and Bumps Event. You won't be disappointed! :)
