Easter

Above is a picture of my babies on Easter morning right before we were about to leave for church.  Their outfits this year were inspired by their Aunt Debra's Christmas gift she gave to Evie and Evan two Christmas ago.  I bought Elaine an outfit to match so she could fit in with the other two.  Jim and I decided to try to match too.  It was the Easter of teal. :)

Easter was full of lots of great events and activities.  So many that I got overwhelmed with posting everything on the blog...hence why I am just posting this and it is now summer.

It started off with our MOPS Eggstravaganza.  Here is Evie right before the big egg hunt; she was super excited to go search for eggs.

Here is our family after the egg hunt.  The kids were all very excited about their treats.  As you can imagine it was like pulling teeth trying to get them all to look at the camera.  This was the best pic we had of all of us.  Someone was always looking back in their bucket to see another treat that they  collected at the hunt.

This is a cute one we managed to get of all the kids at least looking up.  I love how Evie and Evan are doing a similar pose.  Too funny!

Easter wouldn't be the same without a super fun picture with the Easter Bunny (a.k.a our friend Jon Pray).  Evie wasn't too worried about him this year, when she found out it was her best friend's dad in disguise.  Ariel told her that she wasn't scared of the Easter Bunny because it was her Dad.  Evie thought that was pretty neat.  Elaine on the other hand wasn't too sure.

She especially wasn't too sure when Mommy made her sit all by herself with the Bunny.

Grandma and Grandpa got a picture too.  I made them take this picture.

This is just a funny picture Jim got of the Easter Bunny all tuckered out from the big event.

After the hunt we had a delicious potluck lunch.  Look at our big girl Elaine sitting up all by herself and eating.

The kids also had a blast playing at the park.

Here she was at home checking out the eggs.  Her favorites were the ones stuffed with Cheerios.  This was actually her first time eating real Cheerios and she did fantastic.  Before this she had really only eaten Puffs.

On Saturday we had fun-filled morning at the Annual Chick-fil-A Egg Hunt.  Here are the big girls all pumped up for the event.

Evan was pretty excited too, especially when he won this new water blaster from one of the Vendor booths.

The kids also got to get balloon animals and wands.

This was Elaine's first official Chick-fil-A Egg Hunt.  She did great.  Mommy helped a little bit, but really she enjoyed putting the eggs in the basket.

This year the big kids had to put all the eggs in their baskets themselves.  Mommy went out and helped Evie by pointing out where they were, but she had to then retrieve and put them in her bucket.  She did awesome.  Chick-fil-A actually had Egg Hunt Referees this year to make sure everyone played fairly.  I thought this was a nice addition and helped it to be truly family friendly.

Here are two of the best Egg Hunters of the morning.  We were so proud of Evan and Evie they did amazing and picked up so many eggs by themselves.  Evan was a true superstar as he made his Mom and Dad so proud as whet out and just picked up as many eggs as he could in super speed.  You can see him blazing through the crowds in the picture above.  Evan even found a special Gold Egg.  Which won us a special prize basket from SureWest.  It can be seen in the picture below.

Our prizes...we made out very well and Mommy and Daddy were especially happy with all the awesome free food we collected too!  Yummy!!!

We love our annual Easter fun at the Chick-fil-A Egg Hunt with the Moon Family.  This year we didn't have Jeremy with us, he had to work.  We missed you Jeremy!!!  Thank you Chick-fil-A again for your amazing generosity!!!

On Sunday, Easter morning our family was bustling with energy bright and early.  The kids woke up early and were curious if the Easter Bunny had visited our house.  Sure enough he did and here are the kids after they found everyone's Easter baskets.  Pictured below they are posing with their baskets.  They were so excited!

Elaine woke up after all the excitement and the big kids had found her basket for her, but she was very happy to be presented with it upon coming downstairs.  Just look at that smile.

Here is our family pictured as we entered church, my parents and my Grandma were there to greet us.  We came to second service so we could have a little more time in the morning.  The bonus was we didn't have to serve this particular Sunday too so it was nice to be able to have extra time.  I also should mention this was the Easter week of a nasty viral eye infection that I had, so I was unable to wear eye makeup all Easter weekend and the week leading up to Easter and was stuck with a smaller sick looking eye.  Good times!  I was thankful for sunglasses during the outside pictures.

After church we all headed back to our house for some yummy tri-tip and another Egg Hunt.  Here are the kids playing outside with everyone before lunch.

Hope you all had amazing Easters and were able to celebrate the true meaning, Christ's Resurrection.  With all the excitement of bunnies and egg hunts we made sure to remind our kids of the real meaning of this very special holiday...that our Savior Lives!!!
