Evan is 12 weeks old today! Happy Birthday little man. He wanted to say hi to everyone. Gotta love those blue eyes.
Hanging with family
Evan has had so much fun hanging with family while being in Sacramento. Here are some pictures of his recent visits. Below he got to see Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison.
He got to wish Uncle Rhett a Happy Birthday on October 18th! Aunt Debra joined in on the good times too.
Grandma Thompson and Evan having a blast hanging out together. Here they are posing pretty in their matching brown outfits.
Pops also got to enjoy the little guy at the Olive Garden the other night. Yummy fun!
And lastly, Grandpa Thompson and Evan having some great bonding time today. They took a quick break for me to get this lovely picture on Evan's 12 week birthday.
Evan loves all of his family and looks forward to more quality time to come...thanks everyone for the memories (from Evan). :)

Play Dates
Evan had the pleasure of visiting three really good friends recently and their little ones. We have had so much fun. The first visit was with the Roach family. Good times were had by all. Jim got to come on this play date too. The Roaches have two precious little girls (Madelyn and Chloe who are four and two) and two dogs. Here is a picture of Jim, Evan, Foxy (the dog) and Russell.
Our next play date was just mommy and Evan with my friend Stephanie and her son Wesley. We had the best time. Wesley is nine months old and is so adorable. Here are Evan and Wesley hanging out during our visit.
Our last visit was with our friend Natalie and her son Tyler. It was a blast. Here are the boys posing for a picture. We were trying to get them to both look at the camera. You will notice they seem pretty mesmerized in this shot. Natalie crinkled her baby wipes to get them to both look. So cute! Tyler will be one in November.
We can't wait to hang out with more friends soon. Evan loves all of his new buddies and looks forwad to being able to actually play with them in the near future. :)

2 Month Doctor's Appointment
Evan had his two month doctor's appointment with his new pediatrician on Wednesday, October 8. He did fabulous. We were nervous because we knew he would be getting his first vaccines, three shots and one oral vaccine in all. Like always Evan never lets us down and he was super. He enjoyed the oral vaccine, thought that was yummy, but did cry with the shots. Mommy and Daddy held his hands to try to comfort him. Once he got his final circle band aide and we picked him up he stopped crying. So brave! During the beginning of the appointment he was the most adorable little boy smiling and cooing at the doctor. This was because he just loves to be naked and in his diaper. Gotta love it! Evan now has a male doctor, Dr. Trude. Jim and I liked him and look forward to future visits. Evan returns to the doctor at four months. Stats at this appointment were as follows: Weight 11 lbs. 9.5 oz. and Height 22.5 in. We got a growing boy on our hands! :) Here are some pictures from the big event. This is Jim and Evan in the waiting room. Below that you can see Evan and I waiting for the doctor to come in to the exam room. Fun times!

Two Months Old
Evan is two months old today and currently weighs 11 pounds. We got on the scale at my parents house. He is growing so much and officially is out of his newborn diapers into size ones, however, those are really roomy. He even has ventured into some of his 3 month old cloths. He smiles every day and loves to be talked to and played with all the time. His sleep is getting better, but of course he rests better when being held, as I am sure most parents can relate. There are also still those fussy times, mostly at night. However, we love him so much and get through those times because of his insane cuteness! :) He also appears to have really noticed his feet, especially when socks are on them. He tries to catch them. So adorable. :) He also is a big fan of his hands and loves to suck and chew on them. He gets mad when he can't find them and we have to help him relocate and show him they didn't disappear. Here are some adorable shots of our little man in action and looking like a doll.

Just out of the hospital?!?!
I just returned home from the hospital early this morning after being their since Wednesday night. I was suffering from a plugged milk duct. That milk duct turned into a severe case of mastitis. I was admitted into the hospital after waiting in the emergency room with a fever for eight hours- no fun. Once admitted I began receiving IV antibiotics and pain medicine and then went into surgery to drain the plug. This has all been so unbelievable. We had no idea it had gotten so severe and would require me to be in the hospital for five days, and that I would have to continue with home nursing care to rebandage my wound everyday until it heals. God is good and I am at least on the up-hill stretch now headed toward recovery. The wound is still pretty bad and my mom and Jim have been trained on how to rebandage too. Breasfeeding has been put on hold on the infected breast, however, we are hoping to still be able to continue with the Lord's help. Thank goodness Evan has been doing great with formula. He is such a trooper; the hardest part of this whole ordeal was being away from him and my family in the hospital. I was so blessed with tons of help in my absence. My whole family chipped in to care for me and the little one. I love you guys! :) Here is a picture of Evan and Jim visiting me at the hospital on day four.

We moved!
