We went on a nice family trip this past Saturday, February 18 to Hidden Falls Regional Park. Jim learned about it while he was getting his haircut recently at Sports Clips. :) It is a beautiful park in Auburn that actually has a trail to a waterfall. Here is a family picture of all of us during our hike.
Here are some pictures from one of the stops along the trail.
Evan climbing on some rocks near a stream under a bridge. He was loving it! He loved the hike in general too and pretty much ran most of the way to the falls.
And here are the falls...
Evie fell asleep before we made it to the falls in the stroller. We actually had to leave our stroller along the trail for the last 200 yards or so because it was very rocky. Daddy then carried Evie the rest of the way.
Here she is all cocked out.
However, she woke up before we left the falls. So she did get to see the final results of our hike. :)
...and this was Evan on our walk back to our car- he passed out! The walk back was definitely a little more challenging, especially as most of the walk back was up hill.
Let's just say our normal double stroller got a work out along with Daddy's arms! It was a great activity though and we all enjoyed being out doors and surrounded by God's beautiful creation. :)
