Grandma Knight came for a visit during the weekend of November 19-21. We had a wonderful time hanging out with her over the weekend. The day she arrived we took her to the Roseville Holiday Parade. Which we attended with our parade buds the Moons. Here we all are below in our chairs waiting for the action to begin. :)
It was a real nice parade this year with lots of floats, dance groups, bands, old time cars, etc. Here we are watching some of the fun. We thought it was considerably longer than years past. I think it had to do with the weather. It was chilly outside, but no rain! :)
Evie was enjoying the candy that was distributed by all the parade walkers. Yummy!
And of course one of the best parts of the parade seeing Santa Claus, who finishes the show.
Also, during our visit with Grandma Knight we went the Mandarin Festival on Sunday, November 20 in Auburn. This was also a lot of fun. It rained a bit while we where there, but the kids were loving getting the chance to wear their hoods. They especially enjoyed this hill full of leaves that they could run and up and down too.
Evan and Grandma got to watch a Magic Show.
Here is Evan petting one of the stars of the show.
Besides having many varieties of delicious Mandarins (which we got samples from all the stations- so yummy!) the festival had free games for the kids.
We all had a wonderful time and will probably make this festival an annual tradition. Funny story about this picture, right after I took it Evie stood up and bonked her head. Poor baby girl! :(
