First time Roller Skating

Our family went roller skating for the first time on Saturday, November 12, at Roller King Skating and Blading in Roseville with our good friend's the Avakian Family (pictured below- Carrie, Logan and Alan).  We all had the best time, especially Evan.

 Here are Evan and Mommy out on the floor.

Silly boy!  It took him awhile to warm up to the idea of getting out and skating, but once he did he thought it was pretty cool.  However, it was a real back strengthening exercise for whoever took him out because he made you hold him up most of the time.  As seen from the pics below. :)

Jim and Evan going out for a spill.  Another thing to note, they got rid of the wall for most of the floor.  There was only about 1/3 of the rink that had a wall to help those not so stable skaters.

Evie didn't want to miss out on the fun.  She got to try out the skates too.  We actually didn't buy her a pair of her own skates.  For one we didn't think they made them that small, but also because we didn't think she would really want to try it out.  But of course she had to do it!  Here she is testing out Evan's skates.  She was loving it!
