On Thursday, August 5th Evan got to open his first birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa Thompson.
Grandpa Thompson is getting him started with LEGO's early. Grandpa loves LEGO's too. They actually already gave Evan when he was really little, me and my brother's old DUPLO Blocks that they saved from when we were kids. It is so neat to be able to have my own kids play with some of my old toys. Hopefully, we can also share them with my brother's children and Evan and Evie's kids someday too!
Of course Evie is always ready for a party too. Here she is enjoying some of Evan's wrapping materials from his first gift. :)
On Friday night, when Jim's mom and sis arrived, we packed up and headed over to Red Robin for a delicious dinner. Evan dinned or should I say wore his dinner- spaghetti.
Then he got to be sung too...a special Happy Birthday Song from the waitstaff!
As a final treat he got to eat an ice cream sundae. He was pleased, can't you tell! :)
Later that night, he got to open some more presents early. The one's from Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison. He loved that! He got a Toy Story 3 Buzz Lightyear Power Wheels Bike, a.k.a., Lil Quad, and some very handsome clothes. Mommy and Daddy appreciated the clothes. As you can imagine once even saw the bike he had to have it immediately, the clothes weren't as exciting. :)

Mason got a quad for his 2nd birthday too! I was and still is a BIG HIT!! Happy Birthday EVAN!!
