A few days away from 16 months!

Our little man is just growing like a weed and doing so many new things every day! He will be officially 16 months on December 7.

Evan is enjoying several of the finer things in life these days...this includes, eating like a big boy!

He can feed himself with both a fork and spoon, it is messy, but he does well and insists he feeds himself instead of you giving him his food. He also has his opinions about what he will eat and will refuse things, by shaking his head and saying "no, no, no" it is pretty funny...frustrating as we want him to eat a variety, but funny just the same. :)

He loves anything with cheese...string cheese, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese (still trying to grasp that the cheese is between the bread, but will eat this for the most part). :) His favorite is string cheese...he also loves to say "cheese" back to you and gets very excited when it is mentioned.

He also loves his fruit, especially, bananas, mandarin oranges, grapes, apple slices (these are his favorites to date)! Here he is enjoying his bananas, he loves to say "nanas" too...such a smartie and can also say oranges (you have to know he is saying this, but Mommy and Daddy can usually translate).

Some of his other current favorite foods are yogurt, crackers, waffles, raviolis (with his preferred sauce), noodles, and corn.

Evan has also been cracking us up lately with some of the funny things he is doing while he is eating. Here he is with a new way to put the food in his mouth. Using his arm. Silly guy!

He also one night decided to put his food on his head. Where does he get this stuff?!?

Here is a picture of Daddy and Evan and J.T.'s Deli, he does well at restaurants and will usually sit and eat his food like a good boy. However, he also has his moments where he doesn't want to sit anymore and lets you and everyone in the restaurant know. :)

Evan enjoys climbing up on chairs, benches, couches, whatever he can reach all by himself now. Here he is peeking out the window. The trick is getting him to stay kneeling down or on his bottom. He always wants to stand.

He also really is enjoying his books. This is one of his new favorites. He can now say the noise of a kitty cat, "Maow," very close to "Meow," but this is how it comes out for Evan. He has me saying it this way sometimes. :)

Now on to shoes...Evan really enjoys saying shoes and loves to put them on and go outside. He does a great job of going to retrieve them and usually comes back with the perfect pair. On this day he wanted to wear a different pair with his pajamas, so funny!

Evan also enjoys working on the lap top as seen in these pictures! :)

So silly...Evan loves to have fun! Here he is sitting in his doll stroller and giving me his new smile face. :)

In this bellow picture he is pushing his stroller, still one of his favorite toys. He loves to run around the house and push it all around. It is pretty funny and he can get going really fast.

He greatly enjoys playing ball with Daddy too and is throwing south-paw, for those of you who know what this and might find it interesting. :)

Character pajamas are pretty important to Evan currently. He just recently got some "Cars" and "Thomas the Train" pajamas. Here he is pictured in his "Cars" ones with his new cat piano from GrandDeb and Pops.

Another favorite pasttime is climbing the stairs. He likes to try to do it all by himself now and enjoys when Jim and I count the steps, he can say "two," "nine" and "thirteen" very well. We have fourteen steps, so we expect him to master 1 to 14 very soon. :)

Evan and his stare down, if he isn't happy with what you are doing or he doesn't know you, or simply isn't in the mood to say hi, you name it, he has his Mr. Serious face!

He is very opinionated and definitely knows the word "no." The best is when you ask him if he is listening to you when he is not following directions and he says "No"! At least he is honest. :) He does know the word yes, but it doesn't come out as clear or as often. :) In the below picture he is being told to sit on his bottom and he does not want to. He loves to drive his cars and motorcycle up on the top of the couch. You can see his motorcycle in his hand.

Another big milestone that has taken place to date is no more bottle. We switched Evan completly off it for milk last Friday. He has been drinking out of sippy cups for awhile now with his water, but milk was still preffered out of a bottle. He would sometimes sip it out of a cup, but not in great proportions. He is still getting used to his milk being in a cup, but the bottle is gone. We needed him to be adjusted before Baby Sis comes. Such a toddler now. Our baby is growing up.

Lastly, in this bottom video here he his saying one of his favorite phrases, "Do Daa, Do Daa" and also playing with his car and saying Vroom. I just love when he does this. Such a boy! :)

Thanks for sharing in the fun of our little joy boy - Evan! We can't imagine life without him. Love you son! :)
