Welcome to the first entry of "Knight Tales." Inspired by the great blogs of others, we are starting this blog to keep everybody up to date on all things baby (and us too, of course).

We found out that we were pregnant the Saturday night after Thanksgiving and let our families know at Christmas. As you can imagine, it was a great Christmas gift.

Returning home in January, we got our first view of Baby Knight with an ultrasound and met our doctors. It was amazing to see the heart beating at such an early stage. At nine weeks, here is our first glimpse...

Twelve weeks was our next appointment to the doctor. This was an amazing visit because we could see the baby growing (fingers, legs, etc.) since the last ultrasound. Here is one of the pictures at twelve weeks.

We were lucky enough to get a longer, clearer ultrasound at 13 weeks. This was exciting because they said that sometimes they can tell the sex at this stage They asked if we wanted to know, to which we eagerly answered "yes!" Here are a few pictures at 13 weeks- you will notice that one of them has a note written on it.

The nurse was 95% certain that we were looking at a boy, but she said that she wasn't supposed to say for certain. When we got home, we Googled "ultrasound boy 13 weeks" and found many examples that looked very similar. So we are very excited, especially since we were not expecting to know the sex this early, as it generally occurs at 18-20 weeks.

That night we just had to get a baby names book since we could narrow down the choices by half. Nothing is decided yet, but we have a few that are strong contenders. We've decided to keep the name(s) to ourselves until we are sure OR the baby is born.
