Nine Months Old

Evie turned nine months old on October 9 and is very quickly approaching ten months (tomorrow to be exact) as I finally am getting this post done.   This little girl is growing up in turbo speed and has been achieving many new things.  Here are her milestones at nine months:

-Evie pulls up on everything.  Here she is after pulling up on one of the bar stools with her cute tongue smile. :)
Here she is helping Daddy with the ladder.
Pulling up on the gate.
-She can cruise the furniture and crawl like no one's business these days.  This girl is on the move!
-She is getting more teeth (the top ones are coming in).  She has been really fussy because of it and in pain, especially in the evening.  We have been giving her Baby Orajel and Tylenol to help.

-Evie can clap.  She is adorable when doing it and really enjoys clapping for an accomplishment.  A great example is when we are playing baseball with Evan and he is trying to hit the ball.  When he does we all clap.  Evie just loves to cheer people on.  We may have a future cheerleader on our hands. :)

-Evie can wave too.  You kind of have to know what she is doing, but it is pretty obvious when someone leaves and we go out to say goodbye.   She again likes to join in the fun and wave with the rest of us.  It is so sweet!

-She is enjoying the swings at the park.  Here she is on October 2nd at Royer Park in Roseville.  I just love her smile in this picture. :)

-She is feisty too, just look at this picture and the face she is making...so sassy!  Here feistiness especially comes out when she is playing with Evan and wanting the toy he has.
-Evie loves paper just like Evan used to, however, we find she enjoys it best in tiny pieces and then loves to suck on it and stores it up in the palate of her mouth.  Sometimes we won't even know she has had any paper/napkins, etc. and then it comes out of her mouth all mashed up and wet after she munched on it a while.  So silly and kind of gross.

-Evie thinks the grass is cool too and fun to pick up and eat
-Evie ultimately continues to be a good eater with other foods besides paper and grass.  She eats oatmeal, rice, squash, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, pears, apples, bananas, peaches and mixtures of these items.  She is a big fan of finger foods too.  She actually tried her first french fry on October 6.  Here she is in process and then thinking about this new delicacy with a little product placement going on to in her other hand. :)
-She is sleeping well and continues to have a morning and afternoon nap.  She also goes down at about the same time Evan does at night about 8:30 - 9:00 p.m.  She still gets up in the middle of the night to eat at least once (we need to break her of this, but it is more our desire for sleep that has kept us from doing this). :)

-Evie discovered the door stopper on October 14, doesn't she look proud.
-Evie's hair is getting so long.  We just love her luscious locks.  Look at the volume in this picture and that model pose. :)  You go girl!
-Evie and Evan continue to enjoy each other during play time so much these days.  This is a hilarious picture of them switching roles a little bit. :)
-She continues to be the fashionista at our house too... thanks to generous gifts from family and friends as well as some fantastic hand me down's from our MOPS friends!  Thank you all so much!

Looking fabulous and happy with her handsome Daddy.
So cute with her brother and wearing shoes (mainly to help keep her socks on at times as well as to protect her feet) :)
Happy nine months little darling!  You make your Mommy and Daddy so proud and happy.  We love you!

Evie's moving on up with the big kids

Evie got to partake in play time fun with Evan and Tyler at the Roseville Galleria play area (pre-fire) on October 7.  She had the best time just look at the excitement in these pictures.  I think the boys had a pretty great time playing with her too! :)
*Side-note, this event was three days before Tyler's Mommy, Natalie, gave birth to new baby girl, Jayne! :)  Evie can't wait until her new little girlfriend gets to move up and play with the big kids too. :)

Family lunch at Chipotle

Jim and I got some fun pictures from a nice lunch we had at Chipotle on October 3.  Just thought I would do a separate blog post about this because some of the pictures were pretty sweet.

Here is our beautiful daughter eating one of her favorite foods - paper. :)
Here is our handsome son concentrating on how to walk around this umbrella pole as we sat outside on the restaurant patio area.  Gotta love the tongue.

Than how could you not melt with this picture?  Father daughter love!  I just beam with joy at how they are looking at each other and smiling.
Lastly, one big smile from our little Evie after our meal.  Priceless...to quote the commercials! :)
Hope you are all doing awesome and enjoying some quality time with your family too!  Love you family and friends and thanks for following our crazy happenings. :)

Evan's Sunday School Class

Evan has a wonderful Sunday School Class at church with the best teachers and classmates.   One of his teacher's Miss. Nilda took these pictures for us on Sunday, October 3.  Here are all the kids, their other teacher Miss. Nichole, and the two older helpers, Christina and Mady, pictured below during snack time.  Aren't they all just so adorable?!?! :)

Little boys need naps

This was Evan at about 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon on Monday, October 11.  He was not wanting to take a nap and so I was having him sit and rest on the couch.  He passed out on me in this position.

Silly, tired little Evan! :)

Bishop's Pumpkin Farm with Creekside

Our family visited the pumpkin patch early this year, Saturday, September 25 to be exact and it was on probably one of the hottest days of the year, or at least it felt that way.  Nevertheless, we had a fantastic time and got to spend it with our good friends, the Cunningham's, Savannah, Bethany and Gavin pictured below, minus Travis...
and Christina and Luke Walton hanging out with the donkey who they just feed a delicious $1 carrot in the picture below.
We had a great time at the Farm.  Evan especially had fun this year and enjoyed the attractions.  Here he is with Daddy next to the see "How Tall you are this Fall" sign.

He also loved the stationary train that he could run and play on.  Here is a great picture of him playing with Daddy.
This picture describes it all about Evan at Bishop's...

He got to see and pet the animals with good buddy Savannah...he is very excited to see them in this picture.
Here they both are in the petting area holding hands with Mommy too and checking out the animals in the barn.  So adorable; they loved running back and forth in the barn since it was just their size.
Evie and Gavin had fun on the outside of the petting farm area in their strollers.
After the animals the kids got to jump in hay.  They actually set it up so neat.  It was a bunch of hay piled on top of old mattresses.  The kids loved it.  Here is a picture of Evan jumping mid air.
I finally got one picture of Evan looking at the camera that wasn't totally blurry.
After jumping we then went on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch.  We searched for pumpkins.  Evan enjoyed trying to pick them all up or trying to. :)  However, we actually ended up buying one at the main entrance when we left because it was so hot and we didn't want to have to carry a pumpkin around, but we had a great time looking.
After the pumpkin patch, we went back for lunch and more playing.  The kids got to play in the fun play structures the farm had set up.  Here is Evan going down the slide.

After playtime we took a final adventure on the train, ate a delicious treat and then called it a day.  Here is a cute picture of Evan trying to wait patiently for the next train ride.
We sure had fun and look forward to hopefully making it back to Bishop's again this season for more adventures.

Big Boy Bed!

On Monday, October 4, Evan graduated to a big boy toddler bed.  He has been able to climb in and out of his crib for awhile now, but hasn't actually been escaping frequently.  He usually would still call for Mommy and Daddy to come get him when he woke up, etc.  However, in the days prior to the transition he was getting out pretty regularly and just coming out when he woke up.  Thus, Jim and I decided it was time to change his bed into a toddler bed.  We were all very excited, especially Evan.  We got some final pictures and video of how Evan was able to climb in and out of his crib.  The picture below is just classic; I love that proud smile.

Here is Evan excited about the toddler rail about to go up.  He was using it as a balance beam before the actual installment. :)
Here is Daddy taking off the crib side and Evan watching in amazement.
Final Product: A very handsome and grown up Evan pictured below thrilled and loving his new toddler big boy bed.  He even got a special Lightening McQueen and Mater pillow.  Thank you Cusimano Family for these great sheets! :)
The good thing is he has been sleeping so well and he only gets up in the morning.  Still a little earlier than he should between 5 and 6 a.m., but we are working that! :)  He has a special alarm clock pictured below that features a stop light and when the green light goes on it is time to get up, throughout the night a red light is lite.
