On Monday, October 4, Evan graduated to a big boy toddler bed. He has been able to climb in and out of his crib for awhile now, but hasn't actually been escaping frequently. He usually would still call for Mommy and Daddy to come get him when he woke up, etc. However, in the days prior to the transition he was getting out pretty regularly and just coming out when he woke up. Thus, Jim and I decided it was time to change his bed into a toddler bed. We were all very excited, especially Evan. We got some final pictures and video of how Evan was able to climb in and out of his crib. The picture below is just classic; I love that proud smile.
Here is Evan excited about the toddler rail about to go up. He was using it as a balance beam before the actual installment. :)
Here is Daddy taking off the crib side and Evan watching in amazement.
Final Product: A very handsome and grown up Evan pictured below thrilled and loving his new toddler big boy bed. He even got a special Lightening McQueen and Mater pillow. Thank you Cusimano Family for these great sheets! :)
The good thing is he has been sleeping so well and he only gets up in the morning. Still a little earlier than he should between 5 and 6 a.m., but we are working that! :) He has a special alarm clock pictured below that features a stop light and when the green light goes on it is time to get up, throughout the night a red light is lite.
