Pottery Barn Kids Story Time
Evan and I have been going to Pottery Barn Kids Story Time with Natalie and Tyler every Tuesday and having the best time. Evan actually seems to be listening to the story. So cute. Here is a little video of our first time and a picture.
The second time we attended a guest appearance was made by none other than, The Cat in the Hat! Evan enjoyed the encounter. Tyler on the hand, had a good time visiting with him at a distance. :) I am sure Evan will be that way soon too! :) So much fun!!!
After story time we also get to enjoy some fun at the mall play area. Here are some pics of the kids having a good time. Evan just had to get down and explore with all of the other big kids. Watch out everyone here he comes. :)

Oh, yes and we also got some adorable pictures of the boys in matching hats! Such handsome little boys. Gotta love it! :)

Eating the Good Stuff
Evan ate his first baby food on Tuesday, February 10. He started his culinary adventure by sampling some scrumptious peas. Yummy! Here is a little video of his reaction to the food. We are loving his little faces.
Day two features a picture of him with his green lips and dirty outfit.
On Friday, we gave Evan his first taste of sweet potatoes. Here is how it went...
On Valentine's Day Evan continued to eat his sweet potatoes; here he is with orange lips.
So far he is enjoying his new world of food and looks forward to future tasty meals. :)

Happy Valentine's Day!
Evan celebrated his first Valentine's Day and wanted to wish everyone else a wonderful love day too!

We all had a really nice day and night.
Here were the gifts...
We each posed with Evan by them. As you can see Evan loved the bow on Daddy's gift.
He also enjoyed the tissue paper in his present.
He also loved his Bear card from Grandma Knight and Aunt Alison.
Valentine's night was actually the first time that Mommy and Daddy escaped for a little date. Grandma and Grandpa Thompson graciously volunteered to watch the little man. He did real good, but did miss us at the end and was happy when we returned. He made Grandma and Grandpa work real hard to keep him entertained. :)
Mom and Dad enjoyed a romantic dinner at Little Prague in Davis followed by a concert at Mondavi Performing Arts Center featuring the Punch Brothers. It was a great evening.

First Cold
Evan got his first cold on Friday; poor little guy woke up with a running nose and lots of sneezes and coughing. He is hanging in there, but we are trying to help him get lots of rest and liquids. However, it is difficult considering every time he tries to drink he remembers how stuffed up his nose is and has a really hard time. However, he is in good spirits. Please pray for a speedy recovery and that Mom and Dad stay healthy. Thank you friends and family! :)

Six Months Old
*Sleep is continuing to get better. Naps are consitent with one in the morning, one in the afternoon and then one right around dinner time. They usually last from anywhere to 30 minutes to an hour and a half. Those are the ones Mom and Dad really enjoy. Sleep usually takes place at about 9:00 p.m. give or take and then he usually wakes up at about 12:00 a.m. and then again at about 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. Then he usually will sleep until about 8:00 a.m. This can vary too, but it seems we are making progress.
*Evan is MOVING! He has mastered the art of crawling/scooting and is all over the place these days. Here are a few pictures and a little video of him in action.
*Food, food and more food. Evan has really gotten into eating and loves it all, so far. With a go ahead from the doctor we will start giving him the good stuff now, pureed vegis and fruits. He still continues to eat formula and breastmilk too. Stay tuned for a blog dedicated to this milestone. Here is a picture of him eating his rice cereal. He is even holding his own spoon. Yummy!!!
*Bath time continues to be a joyous event, except, we attempted to bath him in his bathroom, which has a more standard size tub and a little louder faucet (I think this scared him) and he just didn't like it. I think he has gotten spoiled with our spacious bathroom, as we can understand. Someday we will bath him in his tub, but for now we continue to get him in clean in ours. Here are some pictures of all the fun.
-Hanging out with Jenni and Brittney every Friday. We get to go on walking adventures and have a great time.
Happy 6 months Evan!!! Gotta love this big boy. Here is a picture of our little family...we love you all!
